Dr Joss Digweed
MBBS BSc PGCert
London, United Kingdom
Joss has over eight years of teaching experience, including serving on medical school interview panels and leading UCL’s Target Medicine programme, a widening participation initiative aimed at increasing the representation of underrepresented students in medicine. He is the founding tutor at ReVisionMedics and teaches medical students at the University of Cambridge and UCL, while also interning part-time in the private sector, focusing on artificial intelligence and machine learning applications in public health.
He graduated from University College London in 2024 with a degree in Medicine and a First Class Honours BSc in Cardiovascular Medicine. His undergraduate research explored novel immunomodulatory pharmacological strategies for myocardial infarction, and he contributed to congenital heart disease research at the internationally recognised Great Ormond Street Hospital.
In 2021, he was awarded the George Drexler Bursary for Academic Excellence for developing a virtual visiting platform for ICU patients at the Royal Free Hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Driven by a strong interest in data science and global health, Joss serves as an honorary research associate at University College London Hospital and as a clinical advisor on the implementation of a common data model (OMOP) to support observational research.
He is currently undertaking the Specialised Foundation Programme in Medical Education, combining clinical practice with a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education, further bridging the gap between patient care, research, and teaching.
